I.Q. Jongkok was another entry from Warkop released in the same year as Manusia 6.000.000 Dollar (1981) and Setan Kredit (1982). IQ Jongkok in English would be "Totally Stupid", alhough literally means “Squatting I.Q.” is a term referring to a very foolish person who often acts careless.

This time the main members of Warkop group, Dono, Kasino and Indro are returning as struggling college students, similar to their role in their first film Mana Tahan (1979).

Dono, Kasino and Indro are college students who are in great need of financial support to finish their studies in Universitas Pantang Mundur (Never Give-Up University). Luck on their side when they help a man, Mr. Broto, who is deliberately road-killed by a stranger. In the man's dying breaths, he gives a secret map that point to a treasure far outside the city to the guys. They try very hard to solve the riddles in the paper and involving swimming, climbing tree and even making dynamites from firecrackers. Their efforts, however, meets dead end that even Dono has to be rescued by a unique girl named Maya (Enny Haryono) whose hobby is fishing. It turns out that Maya's father (M. Pandji Anom) also pursues the same treasure that the guys are searching. Maya's father then tries to outsmart the guys only to find a treasure that's still nowhere to be found. Dono also try to find a win-win solution since he is madly in love with Maya.

What's making this such a good comedy, is because the jokes are naturally funny and not trying desperately to be funny as in previous Warkop's films. The premise is also simple but the execution is great. It may not be as simple as in the one in Mana Tahan (1979), but it's definitely more interesting. Sadly....all the good and interesting parts only lasts for the first half-time of the whole running minutes. The second part would be a total mess with unnecessary scenes, unfunny jokes and tedious story till the end. It seems the writers were confused on how to finish the adventure. There's even a scene where Dono is having a dream of becoming Prince Charles and Maya is his Lady Di, complete with all the odd characters as the guests and the royal carriage. The jokes are also half-baked such as in a scene where Dono is being chased by an Orangutan or being stalked by a tiger. Only one scene that's truly funny, it's where Dono bumps his head on the door, that's good...

It's really a shame that such a good start is ended in a messy way. It's not intriguing anymore to see a couple of guys just walking around with their equipment, at least in Manusia 6.000.000 Dollar (1981), the filmmakers could maintain the audience's interest to follow the story and still feel amused.
