After the epic movie 300, everyone seems to have been developing huge interest at the Spartans and especially Leonidas. Internet is start to be filled with Spartan fans. And the movie world soon after saw also another movie about the Spartans, of course not an epic movie (how daring could that be anyway), but a spoof movie titled Meet the Spartans (2008). I thought that it would stop there. But no! We got another one about Spartans, which is also a spoof movie! My my my, it's called "305". However...
305 totally smears the great quality of 300, and totally screws the whole story over. 305 serves as some kind of a sequel to 300 and continues the story of 300. It tells the story of 5 Spartan soldiers/losers that thanks to them, Leonidas and his crew were whacked. The five losers, Claudius, Testicleese, Darryl, Shazaam and Demetrius become outcasts and spending their day boozing. One day a girl named Aurillia (Heaven Peabody) comes along and brings good news to the five on how those five could redeem themselves by doing a very good deed for the people of Sparta.
Analogy for such boring feeling in seeing 305 is like when you count from 1 to 305 with two seconds pause in between. Now you try that, and imagine how mind-numbingly boring movie this is. This dumb film makes any spoof film like Date Movie (2006) seems much, much and much better/entertaining. Watching 305, I could only laugh for about 10 seconds, and how unfunny flick this is. They are walking around doing supposed to be funny things, with sometimes one of them gives us their opinion about their situation just like being interviewed on a talk show. Sadly, even their comments are not interesting.
Bad graphic, bad cinematography, bad dialogue, those concludes a bad decision to watch this. If spoof movies somehow smear the original spoofed movies, then 305 smears all other spoofs. And bringing spoof movies to mind, Meet the Spartans (2008), was much more vigorous and lively (although weirdly dumb), still, it entertains and knows how to entertain. Yeah, that's why skip 305 for your own sake.
But I couldn't skip it, I have to sit through the entire movie to note the crew of the movie, and at the end of the movie watching the bloopers proves to be a bit funnier than the movie itself. Not so surprising though since all bloopers from all genres usually funny in one way or another. And blooper scenes in 305 surely a salvation after more than 1 hour of painful bewilderment.
