Bug is a thriller movie but not the kind of movie with swarming insects or any similar horror. Don't expect to see insects crawling and attacking human. It's a movie tells of psychological condition of a person suffer from what I remember as Delirium Tremens. Poeple who suffer from it believe he sees something, feels something while the truth is those things are never exist.

At first I got little disappointed of the absent of the bugs (insect), since I bought the ticket expecting to see some natural horror or that kinda stuff, but I was very glad to have sit tight in front of the screen. I was enthralled.

Agnes White (Ashley Judd) is a bartender at a lesbian bar, she is introduced to Peter Evans (Michael Shannon) by Agnes' best friend R.C (Lynn Collins). Later that night Agnes offers Peter to stay the night in her motel room. They get close and start caring to each other. Finally they have sex. In the middle of the night Peter wakes up, he tells Agnes he was bitten by an Aphid (plant lice) and frantically search for it. Agnes at first is just trying to get along with what Peter says although she doesn't understand it. They get in an argument, that leads Agnes to believe completely Peter's strange and terrifying history. Now they both believe that bugs have infected them and do unbelievable weird things to cope with the bugs.

Bug is not to be enjoyed by its storyline, since there is not much to it, and no you will not get scenes where Judd and Shannon running around being chased by those Aphids. Bugs is remarkable because what Judd and Shannon do. They act and they act remarkably well. They act up to the state as if they were possessed. They deliver terror in a different way that on some level suck you into their creepy world of bugs.
