Dane Cook (Employee of the Month (2006); Good Luck Chuck (2007)) is starring as a professional a*shole... Yep, you got that right, Professional A*shole. A dude who is pro in being an a*shole that he actually makes a living out of it and apparently creates a better world for fellow males.

So what does Dane Cook, mmm I mean Tank actually do? Tank dates a girl just to treat her badly, take her to awful places, and talk dirty and everything else written on the big book of Douchebag How-To. Why? Because Tank is hired by men who can't date their loved ones with the sad hope that after these girls dated Tank, they will realize how precious these men are compared to Tank. Pretty neat for a job eh?

As a professional, Tank, never mixes his feeling with job, but when his closest friend Dustin (Jason Biggs of American Pie (1999)), is hiring him to date Alexis (Kate Hudson). Tank starts to question his own feeling to her. She's way different in the personality department compared to all the other girls. And as Tank might put it, Alexis is Ass-Proof! No, I mean Ass-hole proof! While Dustin the lame guy AKA Hollywood-typical-of-the-girl's-best-friend type is utterly head over heels to Alexis. Will Tank be able to suppress his feeling for her? Or will he become the genuine A*shole?

A*shole... Did you read that word too much on the above paragraphs? Get used to it, IF you ever decide to watch the movie, cause there are lotsa of cursing words mainly A*shole-related. I said IF, which I think you better not. Unless you don't have anything else to do or consider unfunny offensive materials as something exhilarating. This is one of the worst takes on Comedy Romantic. First of all, there is no chemistry between any of the 3 lead characters. Although the kissing scenes of Tank and Alexis seem to be filled with passion. But overall, the comedy is overshadowed by yelling and shouting. There are few chuckle moments but it's clearly not enough to warrant a rent, let alone a buy.

And then the movie runs too long without any amusing twist or interesting side plot or whatever. The characters are also mind-numbing. Alexis is not the kind of girl that men usually want to win her over. She's simply a self-absorbed sex-addict without tiny bit amount of appreciation over Dustin who has given striking amount of caring. Dustin is a kind-hearted guy who is too good to be true which makes him downright simpleton. And Tank.... Whow, he's just rude and vulgar, and not in the funny kind of Jack Black, but simply rude. And then we got Alec Baldwin as Tank's father who's always horny and is not capable of saying anything else other than sex-related (Also Not Funny). Sigh... Ironically, arguably the only truly funny moment is when Alexis saying multiple A*shole word in one single shouting sentence.

Seriously, don't bother to watch the movie, even though it's not the worst romantic comedy film ever. My Best Friend's Girl is not romantic, offensive to religion, rude, overly long (almost 2 hours of my life!) and most importantly Not Funny!
